Our Mission

The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting diffrent results.

Benjamin Franklin

One might argue that we are going insane... I would not entirely disagree, but let me share what we started working on November 8th, 2006:

Challenges to overcome to replace Representative Ryan:

We are forming a sterring committee to recruit a candidate and assist in the coordination of her/his campaign to a diverse district. Make sure that Mr. Ryan's true political, economic and national security views are well known to the electorate. This will be accomplished by implementing a newsletter and web page.

Well funded incumbent

Without a significant political gaffe it is difficult to defeat an incumbent without the following:

  • Fulltime candidate
  • Excellent staff
  • Exceptional fundraising capability
  • All of the above

Republican leaning district

With a presidential election in 2008 we have the opportunity of the long coattails of national candidate.

Open primary

Unifying behind our strongest candidate will overcome Republicans voting for the weakest candidate. DO NOT THROW AWAY YOUR VOTE.

Fractured Democratic field

I certainly share the frustration of all the candidates knowning that we have to replace the current administrations most consistent supporter, but it is critical to support a candidate that can successfully challenge Mr. Ryan

If you feel as strongly as I that it is critial to elect a Democrat and are interested in joining the Kick Out Ryan Committee, sign up at the convention. If you are not able to atend then call my toll free office telephone number, 1-888-526-4053 and say "Ray, I am not insane, sign me up for the committee."
